Use a fluid extractor or turkey baster to remove the old power guiding fluid from the replace. Top it off with newly fluid, start the vehicle and turn the turn from lock at lock a few times. Always have used ATF in all my old Cadillacs besides for the 94 Fleetwood which specifically said to only use PS fluid. Any old 50's-70's Cadillacs I believe ATF is what GM used for many years. PS fluid and ATF are both hydraulic fluid but ATF with its extra detergents, I would assume would help keep the internals of PS components very clean
